Sadly today is just another day even though my sweetheart and I were married 31 years ago this evening, it was a Friday and it was hottt outside that day. Surprise, Surprise on the next day it was icy and freezing as we went on our Honeymoon from Sinton Texas to stay a few days in New Braunfels. We still had outdoor activities, we went to Wonder World cave in San Marcos and we went to San Antonio to the River Walk and ate that night at The Tower Of America's restaurant so we could see the panoramic view of the city below.
How fond those memories are, even the fact we ended up with a twin bed for two nights in the Hotel Faust did not wane our enthusiasm for exploring our surroundings and enjoying a couple days alone as newly married man and wife.
Coming home to Sinton on that Sunday was bittersweet but the fact that the next day I had to go help my Mom move all our wedding gifts into our new "upstairs apartment" which was all of one big room that we used as a bedroom, sitting and dining area with a hall bath we "shared" with a 70 odd year old man was an interesting experience all its own as we had barely any room but yet we had a trunk, back seat and pickup bed full of gifts to find a way to store. Those memories still seem like yesterday even after all the years and miles and life drama in between!

Like Lady and The Tramp my husband and I still enjoy sharing meals, laughing at silly jokes and stupid You Tube videos together, watching movies on DVD we have seen too many times and still finding something we missed. Life has thrown us lots of curves but so far we have managed to straighten them out and make it work, we are still friends, still happy to spend time together and hope that we have many more years.
Happy Anniversary honey, it seems like only yesterday we said "I Do!"
How about you guys, any December anniversaries out there? If so how will you celebrate, low key or go all out?
Tonight I hope my husband actually will be home, if he is no special plans as we will be celebrating anniversary and his birthday the 14th when he takes off and will go to spend the day in Austin shopping for house renovations. Not real romantic but necessary.
Thanks, since the company my sweetie works for has downsized staff his hours are so crazy we never plan much of anything except just try to spend time together June.

Happy Anniversary, guys! God bless you both. Mine is still a few months away. My husband and I usually go pretty low key.

Happy Anniversary Jackie! I celebrate my relationship at Christmas, this year will be 3 years already. Time flies.
Time does fly, funny thing is that even after 31 years my memories of those early years together are clearer than the last few.
Happy Anniversary!!
Thanks Carol.
