Okay so after my visit with my GP Thursday the 16th went and bought myself a walker with wheels so when moving around the house stopped trying to trip over my own feet and fall down every time I walked across a room!
Sorry for the non-smiling look, it is hard to hit the mouse button to take a photo with your computer webcam and then get in the photo yourself without looking strained!
Appointment today with Surgeon in Austin, hopefully he can set me up with some tests quickly so we know if my neck needs another operation to relieve the pressure on my spine that is causing me to have a dead left leg and pain that makes my head hurt every day no matter how much OTC meds I chow down on, plus need to know if in danger of becoming wheelchair bound before it happens!
Wish me luck people, your support helps as know that you are all pulling for a solution that would not involve anesthesia or a hospital stay. I know I sure am!
May not be around much after this week but am going to do my best to get everything I promised read, reviewed and posted along with all the promos and hops that I am taking part in till the end of the year. This thing has not beat me yet and it is not keeping me from my blog fun if I can help it!
It is called a "rollator" in Dutch, and they are great things. I am glad they are of use to you. I will keep my fingers crossed for your appointment Jackie! Please keep us updated if you have the chance.
I was wheelchair-bound myself in 2006, so I'm hopeful for things to improve for you. You've got a great heart, Jackie. Look to the Lord for a swift recovery.
I call the walker "my wheels" as feel like am rolling myself along when use it rather than actually walking like am used to doing..
Laurie the appointment was basically to get the process of what kind of tests we need to see what is causing my problems and that part went fine. Now waiting on the rest.
Tara thanks, the news was not much have to wait and see what shows up on the nerve conduction study and MRI's that I need to get done now.
June am hoping, praying, wishing and resisting the wheelchair!
Maria the cane is not a help to me at this point, wish it were because the walker is very tiring. Answers better come soon, need my legs back in working order!
Oh Jackie. Do hope you get in with the surgeon and get all straightened back up. But, hope you don't hit any bumps with the wheels. ;D Seriously, do take care.
Melissa the wheels turn slowly as my head of steam takes a bit to work up, even before getting walker was moving slow so as not to overbalance and fall. Hopefully insurance will approve the tests I need soon and can get them done and get this problem fixed!

I settled for a cane but I hated it because everyone would always give me that 'poor old lady' look.
I'm better now so the cane stays in the car--just in case.
Get your answers soon, hon. Good luck!
