July will be a slow month for the blog.

Garden in May, Tomatoes, Bell Peppers and Broccoli

Thanks to an abundance of these pretty yellow summer squash my past few months have seen a slow down in reading, it takes time to gather them daily and then prepare them to either cook in some manner or put up in the freezer.

Same goes for the cherry tomatoes which are KILLING me with their abundance, only can eat so many tomatoes in one day guys! The regular tomatoes have been finally ripening as well and between harvesting them, putting them in their proper place to finish getting ripe and then once ripe finding space in the refrigerator prior to using in salad or just eating a tomato whole has been a never ending adventure! Good thing we love them but am soon going to have to start finding people to give them away too!
Broccoli has finally stopped producing due to weather being too hot and the spears flowering almost as soon as they show on the plants. Hopefully come fall the plants will still be alive and start making me some more broccoli as love to eat in casseroles, in salad raw or steamed as a side dish.

Anyway am going to slow down posts almost to a halt in July so I can finally sit down and read some books again, I hope, that is my plan anyway. In May the garden took up so much of my time that I hardly read one book a week and that almost drove me crazy, however what I did get to read was very enjoyable from my freebies on my Kindle to the books off my shelves that had been calling me for a while to the few review books that I had accepted.

There will be a holiday post tomorrow on the 4th, the Celebrating Independence Day blog hop giveaway ends tomorrow as well as it started on the 1st, a review on the 12th, a blog promo post for author Shiloh Walker/J.C. Daniels on her blog tour stop and maybe a few after that but not many.
I also am going to have to get back to writing up my books that I have been reading, thanks to my very nasty Internet have been unable to get online for any length of time since February. I hate AT&T's "Wi-Fi hot spot" on my smart phone, it is slower than cold molasses and only works when it wants to!
I just need a break again, time to stay offline and come back strong in August!

I've been dehydrating my tomatoes. They come out so sweet.

But yeah, they are coming in like crazy.

Wow, that Veg looks yummy! Cherry tomatoes are my favourite...I love them. If only I lived closer, I'd take them off your hands! :-)

Maria have not replaced my dehydrator that we lost in fire last year, we have friends that have been very happy to get loads of tomatoes.

Mel the cherry tomatoes are still going crazy, the regular ones are finally slowing down and a couple of the plants have actually died from the heat.

I feel so wrong for envying your squash. haha. Man, those veggies look awesome! I try to hit the Farmer's Markets during the summer here. Fresh is fantastic.

Marie fresh is so gooood, it has been almost 3 1/2 months of not buying bruised veggies from our local grocery store and looking forward to having squash all winter when it is out of season.

I always like fresh vegies but I simply do not have a green thumb :D And hope your internet gets better soon!!

Cherry I personally have a "black thumb" but my husband can get anything to grow. Internet is still the same and needs to be changed but our options are very limited!
