THIS AND THAT QUESTIONS INTERVIEW:
Jackie
Vampires or werewolves?
Marie
I think I’ll go with werewolves – they are furry and warm! )
Jackie
Spicy Meatballs or Meatloaf?
Marie
Spicy meatballs – for some reason every time I had meatloaf, it was either too dry or drowning in gravy.
Jackie
Dracula or Frankenstein?
Marie
Dracula – makes me think of Gary Oldman’s portrayal of this infamous character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula – he looked so haunted and lovelorn…
Jackie
 Chocolate or Vanilla Ice Cream?
Marie
Vanilla! I love chocolate, but when it comes to ice cream I prefer vanilla.
Jackie
Chocolate-covered strawberries or Chocolate-covered Cherries?
Marie
Chocolate covered cherries – I love anything sour.
Jackie
Iced Tea or Hot Coffee?
Marie
Depends: on a hot summer afternoon - definitely iced tea, but on a winter morning – hot coffee with plenty of heavy cream and two sugars.
Jackie
Apples, Oranges or Bananas?
Marie Oranges
Jackie
House Cats or Lap Dogs?
Marie
Both are adorable, but I’m partial to dogs, so lap dogs! (Maltese are my favorites)
Jackie
Black, Red or Blue pens?
Marie
I love blue pens – I think it stems from my early school memories when we were only allowed to write in blue ink – back then blue ink seemed restrictive and oppressive, but now it’s a nostalgic throwback.
Jackie
Full length Dresses or Knee length Skirts?
Marie
Knee length skirts are so much flirtier, although a full length dress can be sexy too…
Jackie
Corn Bread Muffins or Blueberry Pancakes?
Marie
That’s a tough one – I love them both, but I’m kind of leaning toward corn bread muffins…
Jackie
Sweet or Sour Candy?
Marie
Definitely sour!
Jackie
Water Skiing or Snowboarding?
Marie
I am a skier, so I’m going to go with water skiing, although I’ve never tried it my life.
Jackie
Mountains or Beach?
Marie
Mountains – either in the winner or in the summer – skiing and hiking are among my favorite pastimes – afterwards I always feel rejuvenated, with multiple plot ideas rushing into my mind.
Jackie
eBooks or Physical books?
Marie
I have to say that I’m leaning more and more toward e-books. I read a lot and I was beginning to run out of space to store all the books I’ve read, so when Kindle came along, I was a very happy camper. But then for books that are my favorites, I have hard cover editions and rereading them is always a special experience.
Jackie
Indie bookstores, Brick and Mortar or Amazon?
Marie
Amazon has always been my favorite place to buy books, although I enjoy stopping by a bookstore and browsing the new selections.
Jackie
Shortbread Cookies or Animal Crackers?
Marie
Shortbread cookies – if you’re having a treat, go all in!
Jackie
Younger Man or Older Man?
Marie
I think the idea of a younger man is so much more intriguing…
Jackie
Biking or Walking?
Marie
Definitely walking – you will probably laugh at me, but I never learned to ride a bike – the only bike I know how to ride is a stationary one, at the gym.
There you have it folks the scoop on the author and her taste in food, books, sports and men. I hope you enjoyed learning more about Marie and her answers as much as I did!
Now to share a bit about the book before we get to the necklace giveaway.

Dance Me to the Stars
 By Marie Astor

At first glance twenty-eight-year-old Claire Chatfield has everything a girl could possibly wish for: she looks gorgeous, has a promising career at one of New York’s top architectural firms, and she carries an engagement ring on her finger from one of New York’s most eligible heir-bachelors! Life should be a dream, but deep down Claire is haunted by an insecurity that has plagued her since her childhood days. When Alec Brunell, a sexy tango dancer, moves into the apartment one floor above from Claire’s, he unwittingly awakens Claire’s old fears, making her rebuff his attempts at neighborly friendship. Will Claire brave her inhibitions and allow herself to take a chance on Alec, or will she continue to play it safe?
For the entirety of his thirty-three-year-long existence, David Lawson has been groomed as the heir to the Lawson Enterprises real-estate empire. But spending eighty hour weeks at the office is not sufficient proof of company loyalty for the Lawson patriarch – in order to secure his place as his father’s successor, David must solidify his image by settling down with a wife befitting the future head of Lawson Enterprises – and who could fit the prerequisite better than the stunningly beautiful and incredibly bright Claire Chatfield? There is just one glitch – David Lawson is in love with another woman - a Hollywood legend Claudia Block.
A successful tango instructor, Alec Brunell has never lacked for women’s attention, but he finds himself at a loss when faced with his infuriatingly abrupt and incredibly gorgeous downstairs neighbor, Claire Chatfield. Upon hearing of his occupation, most women swoon with desire, but Claire runs for the door. Still, her iciness only adds fuel to his fire, as Alec is determined to change Claire’s view of him.
Claudia Block has been basking in the limelight of Hollywood for more years than she cares to admit. While she still has her looks, she would much rather not mention her age, which makes her unconventional affair with young and handsome David Lawson that much more difficult for her to give up.
Dance Me to the Stars is a love story about finding one’s perfect match, no matter how unlikely the union may seem to the onlookers. Sometimes following one’s heart is as convoluted as learning the steps of tango.
[Dance Me to the Stars is approximately 265 pages long.]
I am so looking forward to reading this romance!
