Books Read at end of 2011, maybe you have read these too!

Valentines week was spent reading Highlander Romance books by Mary Wine and Fairy Tale remakes by Lucy Scott but here are a few of the last books that I enjoyed at the end of last year, some of them will stick with me for a very long time and not sure why it took me so long to read Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series because that series was a trip not to be missed! (I will give away all 4 books some time this year to a lucky winner in the US, so be looking for it!)

At the end of the year I got my own books off my To Be Read Shelf and off my Kindle to round out the year just reading for pleasure instead of promoting anything.
The books ranged from Rock and Roll lovers to Fallen Angels to a mohawked Magic Tattooist to Werewolves, Vampires, Fairies and Ilona Andrews Edge series.
At the end of December read a sexy little book called SEE YOU AT THE SHOW by author Michelle Betham that was a free Amazon Kindle download about rock chick roadie Stevie Stone and her Rock God band front man Mark Cassidy.
Prior to reading the story of Stevie and Mark found a copy of author L.A. Weatherly's book
ANGEL BURN which is the story of half angel half human Willow and her boyfriend Alex.
Not sure how long the book was on my Kindle only know should have read it long ago!
Book that I enjoyed right before Angel Burn was the second book in author Anthony Francis "Skindancer Series" BLOOD ROCK which like book one FROST MOON which released in March of 2010 was also another free read on my Kindle that I got from Amazon. Fell in love with Dakota Frost and in book two she was even more amazing!
A magical tattoo artist who wears leather and a mohawk, very wild main female character in this series!
Had to get my "Vampire fix" with the anthology YOURS FOR ETERNITY featuring authors Hannah Howell, Kaitlin O'Riley and Alexandra Ivy novellas. This one was a paperback from Paperback Swap that I received in the mail before Christmas and treated myself to reading as an early New Year present!
My "Werewolf fix" came from another anthology from a Paperback Swap member,
THE BEAST WITHIN featuring authors Erin McCarthy, Jennifer Lyon and Bianca D'Arc.
I also got to read book 9 and 10 in the MORGANVILLE VAMPIRES series by Rachel Caine.
Having lost book 9 in the series in the Labor Day fires bought a used copy to read with my pre ordered brand new copy of book 10. Thank goodness for 1/2 price books!
I also lost and re-bought books 1-3 of the "Iron Fey" series as when got my copy of book 4 had to have them to read ASAP before 2011 was gone. (also read the two short novellas in digital format that had forever on my Kindle as freebies from Amazon.)

Now when the new series Blood of Eden releases in Paperback in May of this year it will be bought and not stay on my shelves like these did.
Scary sounding Vampire series, cannot wait!

No I have not read any of those, but the one about the tattooed mohawk person sounds great!

Dakota Frost is a very cool character and the two books were easy, fast, fun reads! I am really looking forward to the next one in the series for sure.
