My ThoughtsThis was a very interesting read for me, it took us through time from the horse and buggy days to modern times without feeling rushed in any way. There is a lot going on in the story as there are many tangents going on at once to keep track of, not the least of which is William's research into reversing vampirism which does not quite turn out the way he planned in the end.
The introduction later on in the story of Bridget and Jax moves the story into a different direction that focuses more on the relationship between Bridget and William and all it's drama.
The idea of the two vampires going to High School once Liv comes out of her self inflicted hibernation cracked me up at first as of course shades of "Twilight" came through with that one.
I enjoyed the relationship that eventually developed between Jax and William, two more opposite individuals who bond in spite of themselves. This was a nice change from the normal romanticizing of what it means to be a vampire. Two young people who were changed against their will and who have roamed the world for centuries trying to find a way to come to grips with their fate, not an easy task when you live forever and over time lose your enthusiasm for much of anything.
The Author has created a series that I intend to pursue when she continues it with the next book, the characters interest me and it will be nice to see where they end up with their respective relationships as the ending left that up in the air.
