People say that laughter is the best medicine, lately not having too much to laugh at as it seems like everything around my life is falling to pieces! On the bright side of that one I am still walking around so at least I am not falling to pieces yet!! (no more than usual anyway)
My husband has a first generation original I-Phone for example, last month he replaced the battery for almost $80.. This past week the phone once again killed the new battery, money wasted! Okay there is no real bright side to this one unless you count the smile on my sweeties face when he replaced the old I-Phone with the newest 4G that as he swore immediately is so much brighter, easier, faster and better! (boys and their toys, gotta love em)
2 weeks ago my husband was out working with some of his employees and when he let them out of his company truck to go inside the office the last man out the passenger door did not close it completely... He then put the pickup in reverse and in doing so flung the passenger door open and since one of the employees personal vehicle was parked right next to it he did not have time to stop before doing $600 dollars worth of damage to the other vehicle... Where is the bright side to this one you ask me? Well it is two-fold not one person including my husband got hurt and there was no damage to the company pickup so he did not get either reprimanded or fired... (jobs are worth more right now than paying the cost of repairing the other mans pickup for sure)
Okay my personal favorite of the last 3 weeks to do the down side and the upside of for everyone is this one... It has rained so much in the month of September that we have actually got green growing grass/weeds in our front and back yard. Not only do we have lots of green but lots of moisture that just will not dry up so it can be mowed easily.. What would normally take 3-4 hours takes 3-4 days and has to be done in stages because only have a few hours a day when the moisture is dry enough to tackle the grass and then the dew sets back in late in the afternoon... The upside to this predicament is that we will have a green yard going into Winter, we are already having wonderfully cooler days and actually "cold" nights and it is barely going to be October today! (a little trade off with lower ac bills and shorter days works for me)
Now on to the laughter part of the program, my cousin has been sending me some fun emails so thought I would copy and paste one in today to share with everyone and get a chuckle or two!
Grandma and Grandpa go to town:
While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant, and resumed their trip. When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her glasses on the table, and she didn't miss them until they had been driving for about forty minutes. By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around, in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses. All the way back, the elderly husband became the classic grouchy old man. He fussed, complained, bitched and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return trip. The more he chided her, the more agitated he became. He just would not let up for a single minute.
To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant. As the woman got out of the car, and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled to her, "While you're in there, you might as well get my hat and credit card."

Okay I know this one made you at least smile!
What made you feel good on Friday?
