AS OF FEBRUARY 2012 WILL NO LONGER BE POSTING SUNDAY, MONDAY OR FRIDAYS UNLESS FOR A BLOG TOUR, GIVEAWAY HOP OR AUTHOR GUEST POST THAT I DO NOT HAVE TO MONITOR COMMENTS FOR.

As of January 2012 will not be taking any more new book review requests until later in May of 2012. My on again off again Kindle access is becoming a problem with reading my ebooks by the date I have them contracted for finishing and setting up the review posts.

Thank you for considering me but will be happy to do author/book promo posts with openings starting in February of 2012. I will be happy to help anyone who writes in the genres that I enjoy reading and those include Historical or Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Mystery Suspense Thrillers or Young Adult and any combination of these genres in one book.

Also looking ahead to my blogoversary celebration in April which will be a month of weekly giveaway posts that will all be international entry allowed. So stick around!

What are you reading?

I have a Complaint/Question/Query for you all!!!

My question is do you ever get angry when you open up your own post that you so long slaved over and lovingly prepared and previewed to the death and the next day when it came out on blog somehow the "Gremlins" screwed it up somewhere?
I know I am not the only one this happens to, it can't just be me. I pre-schedule pretty much everything that comes out except for bits and pieces of things that I find here and there. If did not then would be at my blog 24-7 and that is just not happening, spend enough time on it that the DH is complaining now when he is home....
Can someone tell me how to stop things that look fine when saved shift when they post?  {The pictures the sentence structures and whatever else those little "gremlins" get into in the time the post sits waiting in the computer till it comes out to be seen by all and sundry who stop by the blog.}
I really would love to know how to make it stop before I do this to my blog!!!

Happy Memorial Day May 31st, 2010. Honoring our Fallen!!!

Today is a day to honor and mourn those who have passed in their courageous service of the United States. I am glad to be part of the 2nd generation in our family to be born on American soil, my Grandparents on both sides were not citizens by birth but by choice. Like so many others before them they came here from Communist countries to make a life without the shadow of "Big Brother" dictating their every breath. My Maternal Grandparents had 4 sons who served in the military as young men and were very proud when they all made it home from Korea.  Today there is no one in my family who is in the service, I do have friends with husbands, wives, sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and cousins who are serving and wish them all well and hope for their safe term of duty!!!  To say that these are perilous times for our soldiers is truly an understated truth, to serve in war time is always risky and more so when serve multiple tours!

We have many places dedicated to honoring our fallen brave men and women and I have found a few to share with everyone...

For most Americans Memorial Day marks the beginning of Summer and is celebrated with outdoor BBQ's, Air Shows, Fireworks  and family gatherings. These next images are in celebration of that spirit and tradition...

This link takes you to a very well thought out page on our countries

Happy Memorial Day

ABC The Gates Promo 2 HD

On Sunday June 20th be on the watch for this new ABC series, hot vamps and more!!!!

Sunday

I can hardly wait for Sunday the 20th, it is going to sizzle!!!

One of my main attractions to the show is actress Rhona Mitra, who stars as Claire Radcliff. Since watching her in the movies "Hollow Man" {Cameo more or less here}, "Doomsday" {Kicks ass in this one}, "Skinwalkers" {kicks some more ass here}, and as Sonja in "Underworld Rise of the Lycans" I did some more research and found out this lovely British actress has quite a bio which can be found HERE in part and on on her Official Web Site HERE

Divider Graphics

The show is set in Chicago, rich with the typical elements contained in popular works of vampire fiction. At this point it is still unclear whether the vampires will live in secret, or in a world where they can exist out in the open.
Frank Grillo who will take on the role as Nick Monohan has revealed his character is a Chicago homicide detective who gets himself in a bit of jam in Chicago, and decides to retire and take his family to The Gates.
Here is how ABC describes the series:
Like most families that settle inside The Gates, the Monahans are unmoored from a complicated life they abandoned in Chicago. Named the new police chief of The Gates, Nick Monahan is expecting a change of pace in this quiet suburb. Nick's wife, Sarah, and their children, Charlie and Dana, are embarking on new adventures as well. Their house is to die for, but amidst the excitement, Sarah is still burdened with the revelation that her husband may not be the man she thought he was. Charlie and Dana will also face some challenges of their own: Along with navigating the trials and tribulations of adolescence, they'll also face the daunting task of fitting into their new upscale school, where their new friends run in tight-knit packs.
There's something very different about this place, almost... haunting. Unions will be complicated by friends with unnatural influence, insatiable housewives will struggle with ravenous cravings, and teenagers will be cursed with keeping their beastly instincts in check. The Monahans are facing an uncertain fate. Nick is about to be tangled up in a mystery where he will begin to piece together the dark truth about their new home, and the supernatural elements that lurk behind the shadows of The Gates.
The Gates stars Frank Grillo as Nick Monohan, Marisol Nichols as Sarah Monahan, Rhona Mitra as Claire Radcliff, Luke Mably as Dylan Radcliff, Travis Caldwell as Charlie Monohan, Skyler Samuels as Andie Bates, Colton Haynes as Brett Crezski, Chandra West as Devon, Victoria Platt as Peg Mueller, Justin Miles as Marcus Jordan and Janina Gavankar as Leigh Turner. The Gates is produced by Fox Television Studios. The series is executive-produced by Gina Matthews and written and executive-produced by Grant Scharbo and Richard Hatem.
This show could have great potential but only time will tell how it will compare to the other series like True Blood, Vampire Daries and Supernatural.

Friday Book Blogger Hop

It's Friday and that means it's time to  take a few minutes and make the rounds to visit fellow bloggers old and new and see what everyone is up to. Jen over at Crazy-for-Books started this meme and it was an excellent idea. These are the rules from Jen:

The Hop lasts a full week so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun!  This is a weekly event!
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
If you start following someone through the Hop, leave a comment on their blog to let them know!  Stop back during the week to see other blogs that are added!  And, most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!
OPTIONAL TWIST:
On your blog hop post, tell us about some of the other great blogs you've found while Hopping around!
DISCLAIMER:
The Hop isn't just for you to throw your link in there and not visit any other blogs.  It's all about networking and finding new blogs that are of interest. So, in the spirit of the Hop, try to make some time to visit other blogs and don't post your link if you are not planning on visiting other blogs in the Hop that week  This is a weekly event, so if you don't have time this week, that's fine!  We'll see you next week!

I am going blog hopping, come join me!!!

The Friday 56 (May 28th)

The Friday 56 Rules:
* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of Story Time With Tonya and Friends .
*Post a link along with your post back to HERE .
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

Please do not do spoilers as there are people who have not read the book...

My pick today is from Vanishing Act (Sisterhood #15) by Fern Michaels.

Maggie sighed and nibbled on her thumbnail while she waited for her old friend to pick up the phone. She was so hungry. Seven rings, eight rings. "C'mon Abner, pick up. I know you're there."

For the women of the Sisterhood, planning a lavish reception for their longtime ally, attorney Lizzie Fox, at their lux mountain retreat is the ideal way to unwind after their latest successful mission. The only cloud over the happy occasion is that their mentor, Charles, is still mysteriously absent.
But amid the friendly bickering about floral arrangements, cake tiers, and wedding favors, the ladies of Pinewood receive a frantic phone call from Nikki’s fiancé, Jack Emery. Harry Wong – Yoko’s true love and a staunch supporter of the Sisterhood – has become the victim of a ruthless identity theft ring. Harry’s bank accounts have been closed out, his beloved dojo is being foreclosed, and he’s being evicted. Distraught, Yoko is about to rush down the mountain to Harry’s aid when the Sisters intercept her. A situation like Harry’s requires finesse, careful planning, and the Sisterhood’s distinctive brand of vigilante justice…
