Wednesday Random Recommendation(September 1st)

Hosted by Amy  at a Simple Love Of Reading...
My recommendation today is for
a couple of things and hope they are both something that might bring back pleasant memories for quite a few of us.... First I highly recommend watching ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW reruns on the TV Guide channel on cable... They take us back to a kinder gentler time in American life where neighbors were friends and family meant more than "possessions" or fame and fortune...

Mayberry RFD may have been a make believe place with made up people living their lives but it will live in our hearts fondly for years and more generations to come....

Secondly in keeping with the same spirit of Americana I recommend that if you have never read a "classic" in your life that at least once you need to dust off the book and read "
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain. The title not withstanding this little gem is a really good moral lesson as seen through the eyes of a child and reminds us that life is not always what we would like it to be but what we make it to be!

Amy invites and welcomes anyone interested in participating to post their own "Random Recommendation" on their blog (and include a link back to hers ) and join in the fun! Some books might not be very recent reads, but I hope that just helps these (sometimes forgotten) books earn a spot on your own bookshelf!}

Ron Howard... Rithie Cunningham from Happy Days... Fond memories of watching the reruns as a kid. Can't believe he's a grandfather and his daughter just played Victoria from the last Twilight movie. Time flies and Mark Twain still reigns as an ultimate writer for all to enjoy.

I know that if I still watched reruns of Happy Days it would really hit home just how long ago it has been watching Ron Howard grow up in movies and now he is a huge success as a movie director himself! Time really does pass fast!
