The Christmas 4 day weekend is over and behind us and we survived another year...
I am sitting in a house that is fairly chilly with my Housecoat on over my other clothes to save on the electric heating bill. Used to not care but the closer winter weather really gets here in Central Texas and the colder the wind chill have to try to stay a little warmer as my old bones get arthritis these days...
4 day work week for my sweetie and New Years Day cannot get here soon enough so he is off for the 3 day weekend...
Too much food and too much sleeping for our Christmas and now today Monday was hard to go back to normal routine of staying up all day and doing chores. Tomorrow weather is supposed to hit with cold sleet and rain and even freezing temps part of the day, joy our version of winter is here in Texas....
Loved the last 2 days the sun shone and it was lovely, the wind chill however was not. I would never make it up in the northern states, too cold and too much snow!!!

Anyway hope everyone out there in blog-land had a good safe family fun holiday and hope the same for your New Year...

Winter Wake Up Call Ramble

Texas is usually a mild winter type of state. We never seem to have bad icy conditions that last very long, we have had 100+ degree Christmas temps and freeze for Easter.... The old saying is if you do not like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change really does apply, however when we get the right mixture of cold and warm air and then rain sometimes we get Snow!!!
Tomorrow the temps are only going to hit Middle 30's for the high, the forecast calls for 60% rain and some Snow by the end of the day in Central Texas area. Maybe Frosty can be a reality this year in December in Texas after all, we will wait and see....

Lots of cool air out there in this early am, up at 5am today and it is still only around 40 degrees at little after 7am....
