Monday Morning Again

A new day, a new week.... Hope this one is better than the last one.. I am enjoying the beauty of spring and wish it did not also mean allergies for my poor little Chihuahua... Like Mom he is sneezing, wheezing, dripping and stopped up in the morning and late at night... The dog of course being ground level has the harder time of it and since allergy med given to him with his bad heart does not work very well he suffers more than I do... Love those wildflower blooms and all the plants and trees but glad we had a slight rain shower to wash some of the pollen out....

Middle Of The Night, Can't Sleep

Lots to think about right now, been gone last few days because had to put my Father in the Hospital with Pneumonia... Now have placed him in a Rehab Hospital for Wound Care on his bed sores, Physical Therapy on his arms and legs and doctor consults for his heart and prostate.... I live over an hour away from the place so my poor Mother had to stay with my Dad by herself without a vehicle in a strange town where she knows no one... Lucky for all of us her cell phone works well as a way to stay in touch with all her family and friends in South Texas and with myself and my spouse....

It is the middle of the night and this is the first night have been home in 3 days and mind will not stop thinking of all the things have to do tomorrow and the next day before going back to check on Mom and Dad Wednesday..... I am just glad that we have places nowadays we did not have 20 years ago or even 10 that deal with long term chronic care patients in a hospital setting instead of immediate placement in a nursing home.... 

I am even more glad that I am one of the lucky few people that are alive at almost 50 and my parents are both alive also, they are both my friends as well as my parents and keeping them around has been a pleasure.....
