About Me

This is my own little piece of the internet where I get to talk to others like myself who love to read books constantly, talk about the books they have read, ones they would like to read and ones they have to read in their shelves but have not gotten to yet... I am a normal person who happens to enjoy hanging out at home more than any other place, have 1 neutered male Chihuahua who is my "shadow" and my pal, have a Tabby and a Tom cat who are both "fixed" also as am a responsible pet owner... My animals and my family and my friends, be they Real Life or met online mean more than any words can ever express.... I am lucky enough to have met and married a man who let's me be who I am without any restrictions, for the last 29 years we have laughed and fought and lived through good times and bad together and both of us are the stronger for having the other.... It is my fondest wish that anyone who visits my blog site leaves with a smile on their face and for all of you who do visit and come back over and over I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your time.... I follow anyone who follows me but thanks to Blogger and their lovely restrictions on how many that is have almost reached my GFC limit, however every new follower and every new blog I have found goes on my blog roll on my left sidebar, if I can get the URL to load....

Love reading, Cross-Stitch, lawn and garden work outdoors, cooking for family and friends, playing with my pets as much as possible daily. Love to meet new people and interact on the internet with like minded interests. Love to travel in Texas, lots to see and do here.

Live in the wooded area of Central Texas near Bastrop State Park and have lots of interesting wildlife such as many species of birds and some deer occasionally and squirrels and possums and armadillos make our front yard their feeding ground.

I love Books so contests and drawings are my ongoing pleasure to pimp for others and also to enter for a chance at some books, gives me a chance to find new books to read and also read some interesting and informative interviews and reviews. Most of my contests are for US residents only due to the fact they are at my expense and if I am mailing the prize the postage cost elsewhere would be more than the prize itself is worth....  I will specify when having a contest if it is only US entry or US&Canada and on the occasions have enough spare change to do so International to those who I can send a book from The Book Depository.....

While I still try to visit with all of the people who have been so kind to me since starting my blog, my time has been spent more and more on finding interesting things to use as posts on my site and so have reverted back to mostly "lurking" instead of commenting on every post I read.. I do still receive my email feeds and when something really jumps out will come comment as cannot help myself... However if am ever to get any book reading done have had to limit my time on the  fun part of blogging considerably much to my dismay....  I do still enjoy every post everyone I follow has and read as many as I can when get the chance as they are wonderful pick me ups and also make my book wishing to read list grow more and more!
